Why First Congregational Preschool

Why First Congregational Preschool

First Congregational Preschool has been a trusted part of our community since 1967, providing a safe, nurturing place where children learn, grow, and feel loved. We believe that play is a child’s work—the foundation for curiosity, confidence, and lifelong learning. Through hands-on, play-based experiences, children develop the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to thrive in school and in life.

As a state-funded, nationally accredited, non-denominational preschool, we’re dedicated to creating a warm environment where teachers and families work together to support every child’s unique journey.

Our partnership with families is strengthened through the Brightwheel app, which keeps parents connected to their child’s day with photos, updates, messages, digital forms, and easy online payments—all in one convenient place.

We also hold family conferences twice a year to set meaningful goals and celebrate growth, ensuring that parents and teachers stay aligned. In spring, we host a welcoming Meet and Greet for newly enrolled families, giving children a chance to explore, meet teachers, and start feeling at home before the new school year.

With an excellent 1:8 teacher-to-child ratio, our dedicated team builds strong, lasting relationships with every child. At First Congregational Preschool, relationships truly are the heart of quality care.
